Hi everyone.

My name is Sage and this is my second year at UAF. I am an athlete on the UAF cross-country ski and running teams. I am really excited for this class, since microbiology research is something I am considering as a career.

Sage is a fourth-year Biological Sciences undergraduate student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She plans on pursuing a career in research and is currently working on metabolic remodelling in threespine stickleback fish. This is her second semester studying microbiology and she’s excited to use her newfound knowledge of the human microbiome and bioinformatics in future research.
